Known as the “Valley of Flowers” of India, this UNESCO World Heritage site transforms from August to October into a vibrant tapestry of wildflowers, showcasing stunning blooms in hues of yellow, purple, and white.

To reach there, take a taxi from the nearest airport, Pune International Airport. The nearest train station is Satara, from where you may take a taxi or a bus. By road, it is approximately 140 kilometres from Pune and 260 kilometres from Mumbai.

• Bring water and snacks since there are few amenities to remain hydrated and energised.
• Dress appropriately with comfortable walking shoes and light clothing, including a jacket for cold evenings.
